Combined Art Gallery and Living Space in Japan

Browsing Yatzer this morning I stumbled on this house in Shiga, Japan, by Kuoichi Kimura Architects, that has an art gallery on the bottom floor. The building is divided in two by a narrow corridor, with the gallery on one side and the home on the other, but with windows and openings in between so that the residents can enjoy the art while staying in their own space.

My favourite feature was the storage solution with backlit white linen curtains, offering lots of space for all the items that need to be hidden away to allow the rest of the home to be as minimalistic as it is.
