The Botanic Shelf
With its customizable structure the BOTANIC shelf provides the plants with the support, space and light they need.
A couple of years ago I got a Monstera plant, which at the time was a manageable 70 cm tall like this one pictured above. It has now quadrupled in size, mostly sideways, to really live up to its name. While I love the look of it, the size and shape makes it a bit unpractical as it has a tendency to tip over. For now, it is propped up against the wall in a corner of the room, but neither the plant or I are very happy with that placement.
Lo and behold: The Botanic Shelf! Obviously the designers Pinja Rouger and Riikka Kantinkoski had the same problems as me, and they solved it in this beautiful and functional way.
”The light and sturdy structure enables the shelf to work as a traditional book shelf but also as a green room divider. With its customizable structure the BOTANIC shelf provides the plants with the support, space and light they need. The simplistic self with the material combination of brass and oak creates a modern but timeless design that appears cozy and luxurious at the same time.”
