I think this summerhouse, belonging to Johanna Lehtinen, is a great example of what I see as Finnish style. Compared to the Danish houses, this is more graphic, their use of black and bare wood is more courageous, and the overall style is a bit simpler, less over styled. Also not as sweet as many Danish houses are, with less cute vintage items and more rough things brought in directly from the surrounding nature. Don’t get me wrong now, I love Danish style, but compared to this, it can sometimes get a bit too sweet.
Simple Finnish Summerhouse Inspiration
Most Scandinavian summerhouses that we see on blogs are Danish, and while it might be difficult for an outsider to spot the differences in style between the Nordic countries, they are definitely there.
