Following the lead from my last post about the spectacle that is Milan Design Week, I found some more interesting projects to show you from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK). They have their own exhibition at the fair, called NØW.
NØW is the exhibition of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts at the Il Salone del Mobile / Milan Furniture Fair 2015 and will display a selection of designs from different disciplines at the Academy. NØW will focus on the latest work by students and emerging designers. The exhibition will give a broad perspective on what a new generation of Danish Design is about.
Outdoors visitors will be greeted by study projects, designed specifically for the trade fair by 45 students of architecture and design from the three graduate programmes in the Institute of Architecture and Design. Furniture students have created individual seats in rattan, students of architectural lighting design are presenting large-scale lighting fixtures and students from the Spatial Design, Perception and Detail programme have been responsible for the graphics and design of the exhibition, together with a huge textile façade, measuring 3 x 3 x 10 metres, in collaboration with Dorte Mandrup.
Below are some designers to keep an eye on in the future!
Tilde Bay Kristoffersen
Alvilde Sophie Rubæk Holm
Camilla Wedelboe Monsrud
Emil Ottar Riise
Morten Husum Nielsen
